SURVIVING ABUSE & THRIVING (SAAT)

Supporting Black, Minoritized, Ethnic Women.
This an extension project to SAARL - Surviving Abuse and Rebuilding Lives. Funded by Community Fund.

VAWG ADVICE OFFICER
AWRC officer provides intensive advocacy and support to women and girls who are experiencing or have been affected by domestic abuse by:

  • Supporting with: housing, welfare benefits, signposting and referral pathways to suitable services.
  • Aiding with signposting to relevant agencies, including immigration support.

SAAT services are provided in Brent, Harrow, Ealing and Barnet to women ages 18 or over.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Via this project the CDO aims to support women, by engaging them to identify current needs and addressing them within AWRC by:

  • Working with organizations' and volunteers to produce impactful group sessions for women to create safe spaces for personal development, socializing and seeking advice.
  • Providing volunteering opportunities available for women looking to build on their CV's and gain experience with a specialist charity.
