THE LONDON HOLISTIC ADVOCACY WRAP AROUND SERVICE (LHAWAS)

THE PROJECT

⬇️
LHAWAS is a project set up to meet the needs of women and children who are survivors of domestic and sexual abuse and other forms of gendered abuse, including prostitution, trafficking, and harmful practices, who have insecure immigration status and are subject to no recourse to public funds (NRPF).

THE AIM

⬇️
The aim of this fund is to provide long term holistic advocacy and wrap around support to abused migrant women with NRPF and assisting them with accommodation and subsistence support until their immigration status is regularised or the NRPF condition is lifted.

REFERRALS

⬇️
The LHAWAS accepts referrals from statutory (only in cases where such referral is not in place of an existing statutory duty) and non-statutory organisations that assist abused women and children as well as directly from women (including single women and women with children) escaping ABUSE who self-refer.
